Spring cleaning! Which always seems to start with spring mess-making. Anyways, my parents have all sorts of crazy ways to carry me. They seem to be obsessed with wrapping me, swaddling me, and otherwise carrying me around. Above are two of the carriers they like to use so they can hold me and still get things done! My dad carried me facing forward while planting our vegetable garden and it was a real wild ride looking at life that way.

Shake, Rattle n Roll
So yesterday my dad was playing with me and I grabbed the little wooden thing he kept waving in my face in my hands! I seemed really excited about this, but I was really just trying to get it out of my face! He then proceeded to bombard my eyes with a flash as he took zillions of pictures.
Mommy and I also met with Janet, our booby trainer, yesterday. She weighed me in at 13lbs 6oz - 10 ounces more than I weighed just 4 days ago! Holy chunk batman!
My daddy also made a bunch of flashcards for japanese - I'm not sure what he's planning to do with them, but I think he's more intimidated than I am.

See How I Have Grown!!!!!
I had my six week check-up on 24Apr2008 and found out I weighed 12lbs 12oz. Winni our Midwife said I was gigantic and a little flirt. I used all my best coos and smiles on her. She also told my parents to start mapping the bump on my head, if I had known waving would possibly mean the use of lasers on my noggin in the future I might have reconsidered my initial greeting. I am already in 6 month clothes and giving my parents sore arms and backs, hehe.

Grandparents and Snow!
This weekend we got snow! There was a ton of the fluffy white stuff in the morning - all over the trees and ground. But it warmed up so fast that it was gone by midday. Grandma and grandpa also showed up this weekend - I had lots of fun playing with grandma! They both remarked a lot about how big I've gotten. I don't know - I just really like to eat!

Cooooooo!
I learned how to smile and coo this week! Mommy and Daddy were thrilled to find out they could play with me at long last. It sure took them long enough to figure out what I liked! I really like to play when I'm on the changing table. I'm not sure why - but the mirror in there really makes things fun.

Tulip Time!
This weekend we attempted to go down to the Tulip Festival in Mt Vernon. It's a really big deal. So big, in fact, that when we got down there, daddy ended up driving around for 3 hours at 5 mph trying to get a place to park. By that time I was a bit upset since I was REALLY hungry. So we decided to go up to Larabee State Park instead and have a little picnic. We did get to see some really pretty daffodils while we were down there though.

The First Week
I made my fabulous debut on the floor of my parents bathroom. Born at home 11Mar2008, 0420. I wanted to wave at everyone first so I presented with my left hand by my face. I immediately showed my skills as a little squeaker and let out a healthy yowl when I was born as well. My Father cut my cord while I was busy lifting my head trying to get a good look at where I was. Momma needed tending to, so Grandma and Grandpa Sweet got a chance to hold me and take some of my first pictures.
It has been a week of changes. Changing bodies, changing sleep patterns, changing diapers, changing eye color and more. I met Great Grandma Margaret as well as Grandma and Grandpa Beebe over the weekend. I was especially lucky to meet Great Grandpa Charlie before he passed when I was 4days old. Four generations of Beebe's together!
St. Patrick's Day was fun, Momma and Daddy seemed to be in a very kissy mood which I took full advantage of. Unlike my cousins I am a bit camera shy and have eluded my parents efforts to catch my smile on camera. Like most people my age I spend most of my time sleeping and eating. My Daddy is an expert diaper changer, my Momma needs a little work...they seem to be a bit loose when she does it. Next week she will get a chance to work on it since Daddy starts work on Monday, 24Mar.
